Studio Policies

All schedule changes, cancellations, or terminations must be made via e-mail (no texting).

Tuition is due by the 1st of each month.

A grace period is extended until the 5th of each month.

After the 5th, a $25 late fee will be added to the invoice.

Schedule changes must be made by the 15th of the month, or as soon as possible.

There is no make-up of time due to student tardiness.

Notification must be made by the 15th of the month prior to termination, via e-mail.

Students leaving for an extended vacation must also give 2 weeks' notice.

A security deposit equal to 2 lessons is required upon acceptance into the studio.

The security deposit ensures that proper notice is given by the 15th prior to departure.

If notice is given correctly, the security deposit is refunded.

Failure to notify by the 15th will result in a non-refunded security deposit.

Students may schedule a make-up lesson with 24 hours' notice (applies to illness).

If you believe you are becoming ill, please cancel early.

If ill, students may take their lesson online.

Students or household members exposed to COVID or any contagious illness must take the lesson online for that week.

Students who have traveled outside the country within 5 days of a lesson must take the lesson online.

Students are allowed six (6) make-up lessons per calendar year.

Make-ups must be completed within the same month. The only exception is illness during the last week of the month. In this case, the make-up may be taken during the following week, resulting in two lessons that week—the make-up and the regularly scheduled lesson. Make-ups cannot be carried over beyond this exception.

If Wendy misses a lesson due to illness, she will provide a make-up lesson within the month.

There are no refunds except for returned security deposits.

No roll-over payments into the next month's tuition.

Wendy Waller reserves the right to refuse or discontinue lessons with any student for any reason at her discretion.

Students are expected to practice 30, 45, or 60 minutes, no fewer than 3 times per week.

Students must bring:

• A recording device for lessons.

• Printed music.

• All materials assigned by Wendy that support learning and organization (a list will be provided).
